The day before the first snow here, my coworker and I were chatting a bit and it came up that she needed to get a good winter coat. I remembered that I’ve had one that my mom gave me last winter that was too big for me and I’d just been holding onto it ever since. My coworker isn’t much bigger than me, but she’s more muscular. I brought it in the next day for her to try on and it fit her like it was made for her. She couldn’t stop hugging me and thanking me, and I felt really good that I could help. Halloween day, she comes in on her day off to give me this. She called it a niño envuelto, and she made it from scratch to say thank you. I can’t always do good things, but holy fuck does it feel good when I can.

Do any of my followers live in Chicago?

well, I know a couple of you do 

but does anyone wanna send me some postcards or little mementos/trinkets from Chicago?

I miss that city so much sometimes, it feels like I’m being stabbed in the heart.

So something sentimental, some part of the city that I can keep with me always besides memories. 

I mean like a chunk of brick, a vial of soil from Millienium Park or sand from Lake Michigan…something like that.

I’ll PM my address to you if you’d like to do that for me. I’d love you forever.
