On March 4th - 1948, popular New Orleans stripper Stormy Lawrence was invited by the Student Council of LSU, to perform on their campus (with a live Jazz band accompaniment!).. A raucous mob quickly formed. Only half of whom, appreciated the show.. The other half attempted to overturn the truck Stormy was performing from, and to throw her in a nearby lake!
