Millvina Dean. Millvina Dean was the youngest passenger onboard at nine weeks old and was the last remaining living passenger, dying in 2009 on May 31st.
Her parents were leaving England so that her father could work in a family’s tobacco shop that he would co-own. They were transferred to the Titanic from another ship due to a coal-strike and were entered in as steerage.
Her father felt the collision and went back, bundling his children (Millvina and her two year old brother) and his wife into Lifeboat 10. They were some of the first steerage passengers to escape the Titanic.
Her father did not live. If they recovered his body, it was not identified.
